甘言重（陈豪 饰）是一个实打实的工作狂，他不仅自己没日没夜的工作，亦要求下属们要像他一样拼命。宋天从（胡杏儿 饰）曾是一名摄影师，却在一场和父母同行的旅途中遭遇了车祸，失去了双亲，也失去了视力，自此生活在黑暗之中。 甘言重编导的广告片一经播出大获好评，夺得了年度广告大奖的头筹。哪知道在领奖当夜，得到的却是他最信任的徒弟阮婉（姚子羚饰）的控诉。这场意外让甘言重开始反思起了自己的生活，发现他和母亲之间的距离亦越来越远。甘言重决定给自己放一个假，借此机会回到故乡，寻找阔别已久的老友。途中，甘言重邂逅了宋天从，一段充满了温馨和感动的情缘就此拉开序幕。
